Aston Martin has launched its new Vantage supercar in India with a price tag of Rs 3.99 crore. Aston Martin Vantage is its two seater supercar and is positioned below the larger DB12 grand tourer. Styling wise the new Vantage is much more aggressive and that reflects also in the power that it makes.
The new Vantage has a larger grille and bee headlamps and the styling is more aerodynamic too while the new grille means better cooling. Other styling details include 21 inch wheels and frameless door mirrors along with a wider rear bumper for a more purposeful stance.
Inside, the new Aston Martin Vantage gains the new touchscreen infotainment system from the DB12 with being much more intuitive plus there is a new digital instrument cluster too.
The design of the dashboard is driver focussed though and it still has physical controls plus there is a new Aston Martin app. Luxury features include an 11-speaker 390w audio system and sports seats plus a lot more.
In terms of the engine on offer, the new Vantage has a much more powerful 4 litre twin turbo V8 which develops 662 bhp and 800 Nm. It has a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 3.5 seconds which means it is a lot faster now and compared to the earlier Vantage, the new one has a lot more power.
There is a standard 8-speed automatic gearbox and it is of course, rear wheel drive. The new Vantage also gets new additions like a new launch control system while the suspension is overhauled too.
There is an electric power steering system too while the new Vantage is now a lot more stiffer which would result in better handling. The Vantage would compete with rivals like the Porsche 911 Turbo amongst others.
