Much Awaited Tata Punch Hits Dealership Floors. Know Its Price, Features, Design & More

The Tata Punch will have only one engine option, a 1.2 L petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission, the same powertrain which is used in Tata's Altroz and Tiago cars.

New Delhi: Tata Punch, an upcoming micro SUV from India's most popular car company Tata Motors, is being eagerly awaited in the Indian car market. Even before its launch, it has generated a lot of headlines. Based on Tata's H2X concept, this micro SUV has already started hitting showroom floors. The company recently revealed its design and some of its features in a newly launched teaser video. Let's know what would this micro SUV be priced in India.

Features

Just like its big brother Tata Harrier, Tata Punch features a Terrain Mode which will allow the train to go to any kind of area. These modes would help provide great throttle response, especially on bad roads. It would also come with eco and sport drive modes.

When it comes to drivetrain options, it would come with just one option of a 1.2L petrol engine married with a 5-speed manual transmission. This is the same drivetrain used in Tata's Altroz and Tiago models. Drive mode system in this car would improve driving experience.

Price

Tata's micro SUV Punch would not be available in a diesel variant just yet. However, we can expect a turbo petrol model, just like the one that was recently released for Tata Altroz. We may also see an AMT automatic version of this car later. The base price for this micro SUV is expected to be around Rs. 5 lakh (ex-showroom).

It is believed that Tata may launch its micro SUV Tata Punch very soon. It is said to be an amazing option for car buyers. However, news on Hyundai launching its new micro SUV, Hyundai Casper, in India has also surfaced a few days ago. Stay tuned for more information on Tata Punch as we bring you more details of its launch later on.
