MG Windsor Larger Battery With ADAS Could Cost Upto A Lakh More

Set to launch next month, the new Windsor with the larger battery pack could be Rs 1 lakh more from the regular Windsor with the 38kwh battery pack.

MG is readying its best selling Windsor to launch with a larger battery pack in India soon. Set to launch next month, the new Windsor with the larger battery pack could be Rs 1 lakh more from the regular Windsor with the 38kwh battery pack. The Windsor at the moment comes with a 38kwh battery pack with a claimed range of 332km.

The new Windsor with the larger battery pack will come with a 50kwh version and will have a range which is near 460km. MG will also add new features to further sweeten the deal including ADAS and some more extra features to mark it out as the flagship version of the Windsor. The Windsor top-end is Rs 16 lakh while this larger battery pack version will come in at Rs 17 lakh expectedly.

The Windsor is the best selling EV in India and this new version will further plug the gap for a model with higher range. To be launched next month, we expect to drive the Windsor with this battery pack by next month too indicating that prices would also be expected to be revealed. Ever since its launch the Windsor EV has been the best selling car from MG and also has been the best selling EV in India despite competition.

This new version aims to appeal to those buyers looking to have a Windsor with more range and for highway trips. It remains to be seen if this new variant of the Windsor is available with BAAS also like the regular model.
