MG Cyberster To Be Retailed Via MG Select In Possible Single Motor Form

The first product would be launched in Q1 of 2025 and it could be the MG Cyberster which was first showcased at the MG JSW JV announcement even while more could be coming in later in the year

JSW and MG is bringing in its MG Select retail channel which will focus on high-end cars including EVs and hybrids but at a luxury level. The new MG Select dealership will get premium models which will not be offered on standard MG showrooms. Speaking to Gaurav Gupta, JSW MG, he did say that there would be a new model every six months with four cars over two years including two launches in 2025. Plus there would be 12 MG Select experience centres in 12 cities at the start.

 

The first product would be launched in Q1 of 2025 and it could be the MG Cyberster which was first showcased at the MG JSW JV announcement even while more could be coming in later in the year. While Gaurav did not divulge which models are coming, the models would be NEVs or New Energy vehicles which would include plug-ins, hybrids, EVs, and more.

The Cyberster is an exciting electric roadster while India could get the fully loaded dual motor form while local assembly of the single motor could be on cars too. The MG Select dealerships will also have standalone workshops and will be different from the regular showrooms. The Cyberster as standard offers 19inch alloy wheels, a rear wheel drive layout, 7-inch touchscreen, 8 speaker audio system and more. It has a fully electric hood mechanism as well.

 

The more powerful dual motor version has 375kw of power vs 250in the standard RWD Cyberster. The more powerful version does 0-100 km/h in 3.2 second. There would be various body styles too which means we can expect more products where the promise would be accessible luxury namely sedans, MPVs and SUVs too.
