MG Comet Gets More Features But Should You Buy It?

The 17.4 kWh battery pack has a range of 230 km on a single charge. The rear motor continues to develop 42hp and 110Nm

The MG Comet is now better value with MG upgrading the range with new features. In total the variants on offer include, Executive, Excite, Excite Fast Charge, Exclusive, and Exclusive Fast Charge.  The Excite and Excite FC variants now have a Rear Parking Camera and Power-folding Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs) while the Exclusive and Exclusive FC variants now get leatherette seats and a 4-speaker audio system.

This adds a bit of premiumness and looks better over the standard version while the dual screens remain along with the other features which were offered earlier. The 17.4 kWh battery pack has a range of 230 km on a single charge. The rear motor continues to develop 42hp and 110Nm.

MG Comet Gets More Features But Should You Buy It?

We have always been fans of the Comet for its sheer useability notably because of its dimensions which makes it easy to part and drive but the interiors are surprisingly spacious for two passengers while the real world range is also quite good for its size plus the price of course.

Speaking of which, the Rs4.99L and Battery-as-a-Service at Rs 2.5/km remain while other variants see a minor price hike. There is also a  7.4kW AC charger which reduces the charging time- something that needed to be fixed when the Comet was first launched. Overall, these new features make the Comet an interesting everyday car which has the required gadgets while being compact- which is its biggest highlight.
