Mercedes-Benz Bolsters High-End Portfolio With S63 E Performance And GLS Maybach 600 Facelift

Mercedes-Benz has added two new offerings to its extensive portfolio with the launch of the S63 E Performance and the GLS Maybach 600 facelift.

For the Indian market, the S 63 comes in limited ‘Edition 1’ with paintwork in MANUFAKTUR alpine grey solid, 21-inch forged wheels and upholstery with red topstitching.

Other highlights include 21-inch AMG forged wheels, AMG Performance steering wheel, seven AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving modes, AMG-specific diamond stitching and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.

The technology on board is from the Formula 1 division and it also comes with rear axle steering and lots more. Inside, there are AMG specific displays and has a sportier look over the standard S-Class.

The S63 E Performance comes at a price-tag of Rs. 3.3 Cr. while the ‘Edition 1’ starts at Rs. 3.8 Cr. This makes it the most expensive and the most exclusive iteration of the S-Class sold in India.

The other launch is the facelifted version of the popular GLS Maybach 600.

The new GLS Maybach comes with additions like a new Maybach radiator grille, inlet grilles in the front apron with Maybach Pattern, Maybach-specific alloys and Maybach tail-pipes. 22 and 23 inch wheels are also available on this large luxury SUV.

Inside, there is a new steering wheel, new MBUX and minor updates. Features like massage and climatized seats, refrigerated compartment at rear, champagne flutes, split seats and a table are also there.

The 4.0-litre V8 engine remains which also has Integrated Starter Generator technology while also getting ADAS Level 2. This big SUV which has been quite popular comes with a price-tag of 3.35 crores.
