Maruti Suzuki Fronx vs Baleno: Which Car Is Better In Terms Of Design, Price — Check Here

Both cars have a quite distinctive look with the new Baleno having a more aggressive face with a larger grille and sweptback headlamps but the Fronx has more SUV-like face resembling the Grand Vitara

The Fronx is the newest Maruti SUV but in the Nexa showrooms, another best-selling Maruti will give it strict competition and it is the Baleno. The Fronx is based on the Baleno and it is an SUV version of this hatchback. However, the differences between the two go deeper and that is exactly what we will explain here.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Vs Baleno: Which One Is Better Looking?

Both cars have a quite distinctive look with the new Baleno having a more aggressive face with a larger grille and sweptback headlamps. That said, the Fronx has the more SUV-like face which resembles the Grand Vitara with the slim DRLs and headlamps below along with a large grille with a thick chrome strip. The sloping rear and the connected LED tail-lamps of the Fronx is what separates the car from others. There is a more SUV coupe-like styling with the design of the car. The Fronx is also longer, wider and taller than the Baleno while the wheelbase is the same.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Vs Baleno: Which Car Has Better Interior?

The new Baleno and the Fronx share the same interior but the Fronx has a different lay-out with a new colour scheme with matte/silver accents. There is a red/black theme inside when compared to the all black look of the Baleno. Both cars get a 9-inch touchscreen with a heads-up display, connected car tech, 360 degree camera, wireless charging and more.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Vs Baleno: Which Car Has More Powerful Engine?

The Baleno and Fronx share the same 1.2l petrol with AMT and manual gearboxes on offer. The Baleno is limited to that engine but a crucial difference is that the Fronx has a turbo petrol motor with a 1.0l unit which also gets a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters with a 5-speed manual.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Vs Baleno: Which Car Is Better Buy?

The Baleno starts at Rs 6.5 lakh and goes on till Rs 9.7 lakh while the Fronx would be a bit more expensive at Rs 7 lakh to Rs 10 lakh plus given the small premium it will have over the Baleno. We think the Fronx is the more desirable car although it will be more expensive while the Baleno will appeal as the more cost conscious alternative.
