Kia Seltos Facelift Vs Honda Elevate: Two New SUVs To Woo Car Buyers

The Elevate is the first Honda SUV and focuses on comfort and space along with class-leading ground clearance. The Seltos has a new interior and a fully digital instrument cluster.

The compact SUV segment already has a lot of players, but it is about to get even more competitive with two new players coming in. The Seltos facelift in its new avatar and the Honda Elevate. These two are new compact SUVs so let us take a look at what they offer in terms of being new to the competition.

The Elevate is the first Honda SUV and focuses on comfort and space along with class-leading ground clearance. The styling of the Elevate includes an imposing chrome-rich grille at the front while retaining the upright SUV stance. The Seltos, meanwhile, gets a sportier look with more aggressive design details like the new grille and the lighting signature, along with tweaked rear styling and tail lamps that make the SUV look wider than before.

Inside, you get the same look with the Elevate getting a more traditional lighter dual-tone upholstery with soft-touch inserts. It gets the familiar Honda City-like dials and steering wheel. The bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen is new, though.

The Seltos, too, has a new interior with a dual-screen set-up, but now it has a fully digital instrument cluster now along with an overhauled infotainment system. The Elevate gets an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), a sunroof, climate control, a lane-watch camera, wireless charging, and more. The Seltos also competes strongly with all of the features of the Elevate. It gets dual-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof instead of the standard unit. Both SUVs will get a lot of standard safety features onboard.

The Elevate has only one option on the engine front, that of a 1.5 L petrol unit with automatic as well as manual transmission. The Seltos, though, will come with no less than three engine options, including a new 1.5 L turbo petrol which will make it one of the most powerful SUVs in its class. There will also be a diesel variant on offer.

The Seltos offers more features and engine options, while the Elevate focuses on more ground clearance and space, along with a more traditional premium interior over the sportier Seltos. Make your choice based on these parameters.
