Kia Carens To Come With Five variants, Three Engine Options

The Carens will come in five variants- Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. In terms of the variant line-up all are well equipped with even the base trim having 6 airbags plus more.

New Delhi: Kia will be launching the Carens in a few days time with a scheduled launch for next month. To recap, the Carens is an RV- a mix of an MPV and a SUV. The Carens will also have its bookings open from the 14th of this month. Today, however, there is more that has been revealed about the Carens including its variants and power.

The Carens will come in five variants- Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. In terms of the variant line-up all are well equipped with even the base trim having 6 airbags plus more.

The Carens starting trim is called Premium which will come with features as mentioned above, like 6 airbags, all wheel disc brakes, the second row electric touch tumble operation, digital instrument cluster and a tyre pressure monitoring system plus more.

The next in line is the Prestige trim which adds a bigger digital display, a touchscreen with smartphone connectivity, front and rear parking sensors plus a 6-speaker audio system. Then there is the Prestige Plus which brings more features like alloy wheels, rear washer/wiper, automatic climate control etc.

The top-end trim is divided into Luxury and Luxury Plus which adds in 10.25-ich touchscreen with OTA updates, connected technology, 64 colour ambient lighting, full leatherette seats and table for the rear passengers to use.

There is also a sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charging and an 8-speaker BOSE premium audio system. It seems the variants have features which are well spread out and also hints at the probable aggressive pricing that we expect from them.

The Carens will come with two petrol engines and one diesel unit with automatic options available with the 1.4l turbo petrol and the 1.5l diesel. The 1.5l petrol will come with a manual gearbox only. The Carens would be the fourth launch by Kia in India.
