Honda Activa Electric Vs TVS iQube: What To Buy?

The Active e electric scooter will have pre bookings from January while deliveries will start from February. However, should you get this electric scooter or the TVS iQube? We have compared the 4.4 kWh battery pack version of the TVS. Let us look at the battery packs on both these electric scooters and here there are big differences.
Features Of Scooters
The iQube has a conventional 3.4kWh battery pack which can be charged while the Honda Activa e has two 1.5kWh battery packs which cannot be charged while being swappable. The range is similar though with both at around 100km with the Active e at 102 and the TVS at 100km. Top-speed of the TVS is less than the Activa e at 78 vs 80kmph too. Power is 33Nm of the iQube and 22Nm for the Active e. Both scooters get LED lighting, TFT display but the iQube has more storage area vs the Activa e due to the battery pack taking up the space.
Other differences include the fact that the Honda Activa electric has three riding modes vs two on the TVS iQube. There is also a difference in the rear suspension set-up. If looking at dimensions, the Activa e has a ground clearance of 171mm vs the TVS iQube at 157mm. The wheelbase for both the scooters are nearly the same at 1300mm plus.
Price Point
The big talking point is the pricing which we think is crucial but another important point is that the Activa electric will only be available in a few markets due to its swappable battery scheme which limits buyers.
