Ford Might Launch Imported New Everest
The new Everest is based on the Ranger pick-up and is completely new. The new Endeavour is bigger than the earlier version and is wider too.
New Delhi: With Ford no longer in India, we will sadly miss out on the new generation Everest/Endeavour that has just been unveiled for other markets. Or not since Ford can introduce this as a CBU version.
The new Everest is based on the Ranger pick-up and is completely new. The new Endeavour is bigger than the earlier version and is wider too.
Design-wise it is all-new with a new-look front end like the new Ranger pick-up.
There are new Matriz LED C-shape headlamps and a redesigned grille while up to 21inch wheels are there now.
The rear does look a bit like the old Endeavour but overall, the new Everest/Endeavour is huge and even bigger while looking more aggressive.
The interior is also all-new with a massive digital instrument cluster and a portrait-style 12-inch touch screen on the top-end variants.
There is more space also while the 2nd row slides forward more for easily getting into the third row.
There are heated and ventilated premium leather accented front seats with 10-way power adjust, a panoramic sunroof, the latest SYNC 4A system, connected car tech, 360-degree view camera, new driver-assist features, ambient lighting and more.
In terms of engines, the new Endeavour gets a big new 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel while a 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo diesel remains with a 10-speed automatic.
There are 4x2 and 4x4 models with the 4x4 getting a permanent four-wheel-drive system that uses an electronically controlled on-demand two-speed electromechanical transfer case with drive modes.
It also has a water wading ability of up to 800mm. As a CBU model, the new Endeavour would be much more expensive but the new look and features would mean there would be buyers for it.
