Citroen Basalt To Have More Features Than C3 Aircross? Know Details Here

Citroen Basalt also will get projector headlamps with LED DRLs while we can expect features like push button start/stop, cruise control, wireless charging along with foldable key and more

The upcoming new launch from Citroen would be its most important yet as it is a coupe style SUV which would take on the likes of the Tata Curvv but it will also most likely have more features over the C3 Aircross.

Due to be launched soon in a few months' time, the Basalt is of course based on the same platform as the current cars while it would be more stylish being a more radical design over the family SUV which is the C3 Aircross.

However, one of the criticisms of the C3 Aircross has been the lack of features which could be addressed with the new Basalt where it would get more features including auto climate control which would also make it to the rest of the range in due time.

The Basalt also will get projector headlamps with LED DRLs while we can expect features like push button start/stop, cruise control, wireless charging along with foldable key and more. These features would make the Basalt well equipped to take on the competition which is high in the crowded compact SUV space.

The Basalt will continue with the 1.2l turbo petrol engine with automatic and manual options but unlike the C3 Aircross, the Basalt would most likely have an automatic option right from the start. The Basalt will also get sportier colour options and will add volumes to the current Citroen range. With high localisation we can expect aggressive pricing but the Basalt could be priced a bit higher than the C3 Aircross when it launches.

We think the Basalt should come armed with the required features right from the start to give itself a good chance to establish itself in this segment.
