BYD Seal Launching Soon In India With 700 Km Range

The BYD Seal is a Tesla Model 3 rival and was showcased at the Auto Expo in 2023. It comes with an 82.5 kWh battery pack.

Chinese automobile manufacturer BYD is all set to launch its Seal sedan in India with a claimed range of 700 km along with a dual-motor layout. It is a premium sedan that, in terms of price, will rival the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq 5. But, of course, it is not an SUV.

The BYD Seal is a Tesla Model 3 rival and was showcased at the Auto Expo in 2023. It comes with an 82.5 kWh battery pack. The interiors are quite radical and packed with features. It has the trademark rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker audio system, and sporty seats.

The Seal has an integrated frunk which brings in an additional 12 litres of space at the front and 400 litres of luggage space at the rear. It is a very powerful car since it does 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and it has a total of 530bhp.

It is a low-slung high-end sedan that will push BYD further into the premium space. The launch of the Seal is expected to take place in March. It is one of the most powerful electric vehicles and the BYD Seal also promises to be one of the most efficient EVs too at 700km. BYD currently has the Atto 3 SUV while it also sells the commercial spec e6 MPV.

Globally, BYD has revealed many new EVs which could also come to India. BYD like Tesla only makes EVs with the Atto 3 having decent demand in India despite the thin dealership network. BYD now aims to compete with more premium players in the luxury sedan space with the Seal.
