BMW Group Records Highest-Ever Sales In 2023, Set To Have 19 Launches This Year

In the luxury EV space, the iX remains the best seller while overall, BMW sold 1,474 units.

Continuing the trend for our increasing appetite for luxury cars, BMW Group India has posted its highest ever sales in India at 14,172 units with an increase of 18 percent across BMW/Mini sales.

In total, 13,303 units were sold by BMW last year and this was an increase of 18 percent also vs the year before. Mini on the other hand sold 869 units. 8,768 motorcycles also were sold by BMW Motorrad, the two-wheeler brand. Other interesting details include the fact that Quarter 4 of 2023 was also the best-ever quarter for BMW and MINI while December 2023 saw the highest-ever monthly sales for BMW and MINI.

In the luxury EV space, the iX remains the best seller while overall, BMW sold 1,474 units. BMW Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV) or SUVs brought 54 percent to annual sales volume. The new X1 remains their highest selling SUV with 20 percent contribution while X7 had the second highest deliveries.

The new BMW 3 Series was their highest-selling sedan with a share of 20 percent in sales. BMW also laid out the road map for 2024 with several new launches planned this year including the new 5-Series, X3 and the new Mini while two new EVs would be coming in by this year too.

All luxury manufacturers are having increased growth and the same has been sustained with SUVs scoring the highest demand while key sedans like the new 3 Series and the 7 Series remain more popular.

Last year BMW launched several new products while this year there would be 19 new launches including across all brands.
