BMW G310 RR vs TVS Apache RR310: Is It Same Or Something Is Different?
TVS is roughly Rs 20,000 cheaper than the BMW G310 RR but the customizable version of the TVS increases that with the BTO version closing the gap.
New Delhi: BMW yesterday launched its much awaited sports bike and yes, it is a rebadged version of the Apache RR310 along with minute changes. The recipe is the same and nothing has been tweaked that way including its 312.2cc engine which develops 34hp and 27Nm of torque. The gearbox is also the same with a 6-speed one plus like the Apache, the BMW also offers Track, Sport, Urban and Rain riding modes. Even the kerb weight is identical at 174 kg.
A look at the equipment list/design does bring some changes with both the bikes. The BTO version of the Apache has adjustable suspension on offer while the BMW is limited to its rear preload. Then the colours is where the biggest differences lie as the BMW G310 RR has the traditional HP-livery Style Sport option which is a bit more pricey over the standard black (2.99 vs 2.85). The TVS offers two different colour options too.
The TFT display on the BMW is also slightly tweaked over the Apache while largely the equipment levels are the same.
Let us have a look at the pricing and here the TVS is roughly Rs 20,000 cheaper than the BMW G310 RR but the customizable version of the TVS increases that with the BTO version closing the gap. That said the BMW with the RR Style Sport increases the price to just under Rs 3 lakh.
In the end it is about the look of the motorcycle and the badge which appeals to you while this unlike last time, BMW has priced its new bike more aggressively so much so that the difference with its TVS sibling is not huge and for the badge, it isn't exactly too expensive.
