Bharat Mobility Expo: Tata Curvv Diesel SUV Coupe First Review

The Tata Curvv is a diesel-powered SUV coupe that looks pretty familiar to its concept in the production form.

We are waiting for the new Tata Curvv to hit the roads soon and its debut is coming nearer than before. The Curvv is an SUV Coupe which will slot above the Nexon and will be the first SUV coupe from Tata Motors. The Curvv is seen here in production form and it looks similar to the concept and maintains its coupe-like styling. While some of the details have been toned down, the vehicle has a high ground clearance and also has details like flush door handles which pop out.

The front end has the light bar which is similar to the Nexon EV but gets a more aggressive look to it. The rear styling tapers down and has a full width LED light here as well. There is also a subtle rear spoiler and brings in a clean look. We think the Curvv looks low and wide with the SUV coupe-like look and has presence. Size wise it slots above the Nexon with a length of 4308 mm and a width of 1810 mm along with a wheelbase of 2560mm. It also had a large boot of 422 litres.

The interior also mimics the concept with a digital focussed cabin design and it looks quite cool as well. There would be premium features like a panoramic sunroof plus ADAS, 360 degree camera and more including a digital instrument cluster plus a large touchscreen as well. Expect premium materials too while space would be good given the size of the car.

The Curvv will debut with a 1.5l diesel engine and will also have an EV version. The petrol Curvv is some time away which was shown in concept form at the Auto Expo 2023. The diesel engine in question is a 1.5l unit with 115ps and 260Nm with a four cylinder unit. It is also mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The new Curvv looks desirable and will be another 4m plus SUV to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta and others in this popular segment space.
