Auto Expo 2025: The X3 is the best selling BMW SUV and one of the largest sellers worldwide for the luxury brand. Now, the carmaker has launched the new generation X3 in India with a starting price of Rs 75.8 lakh. The new X3 gains a new design language with a new look altogether. It has a sharper look and also looks much bigger than the last generation model with larger headlamps along with wider tail-lamps.

The X3 now looks more expensive overall while having its own individual identity- instead of being a shrunken X5 or a larger X1. Inside, the cabin is like the more modern new BMWs like the 5 Series which means a large curved touchscreen plus the hidden vents along with all controls now placed on the touchscreen in place of physical controls. The design and quality is top notch while the cabin looks more modern than the earlier one even though there is too much emphasis on touchscreen.

There is more technology on offer and added features while the rear seat is slightly better in terms of comfort or space. Engine options include a 2.0l turbo petrol plus diesel with a mild hybrid unit while globally there are faster petrols but this would be the best selling engine for sure. The new X3 then is bigger and more spacious which means it is closer to the bigger X5 while being much more premium over the X1. It could be one of the more popular SUVs within the BMW range along with the X1 although competition is very high including the Mercedes-Benz GLC plus the Volvo XC60 amongst others.
