For India, Lexus has launched the new generation RX with a hybrid and the version is called RX 500h

Lexus is the only luxury car maker present at the 2023 Auto Expo and has launched the new generation RX SUV at the motor show with pricing expected to be announced later. The new RX is one of Lexus' global best-selling models and is a premium SUV designed to take on the likes of the Audi Q7 and the Mercedes-Benz GLS. However, the real strength of the new RX is the fact that it has a strong hybrid powertrain.

The styling is new and the length has been increased while it is also lower which means it is easier to get in and out of. The new generation RX has a much more sleek design compared to the boxier earlier generation version while the grille has been larger along with a thick strip of chrome. The rear gets triple LED tail-lights with larger Lexus lettering at the back too.

Inside, the cabin is more driver-focused while it has a massive new 14-inch touchscreen. The feature list includes a massive heads-up display and a panoramic sunroof plus a premium audio system amongst others. Compared to the earlier RX, the new one gets more space on the inside while the quality of materials is just as expected from a Lexus.

For India, Lexus has launched the new generation RX with a hybrid and the version is called RX 500h. It is a strong hybrid with a 2.4-litre petrol unit along with an eCVT automatic gearbox.

While its rivals have diesel engines or petrol engines, the strong hybrid RX promises better range along with better efficiency while to potential owners, the better refinement of the hybrid will make more sense.

For Lexus, this is the second hybrid SUV in India after the NX which was launched in 2022. The RX is their flagship SUV for now.
