YS Jagan Bail Plea Cancellation: CBI Court To Announce Final Verdict On AP CM's Bail On Aug 25

The CBI counsel told the court that no information was received from the CBI. The court was asked to give some more time in this regard

Hyderabad: Arguments in a CBI court about a petition seeking revocation of AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's bail in a case of disproportionate assets income have come to an end. The court is expected to deliver its final verdict in the case on August 25. The CBI today again sought time for written arguments in a petition filed by YCP rebel MP Raghuram Krishnaraju seeking revocation of CM YS Jagan's bail.

The CBI counsel told the court that no information was received from the CBI. The court was asked to give some more time in this regard. However, this was opposed by Venkatesh, a lawyer for MP Krishnaraju. He appealed to the court not to give a deadline. After the hearing, the CBI counsel asked the court to take a discreet decision as they had not heard any arguments in the case. The tribunal, which heard arguments from both sides, said the trial in the case was over. A final verdict in the case is expected on August 25.

According to ABP Desam, Earlier, CM Jagan and counsel for the petitioner had said that despite the resignation, CBI officials were leaving it to the discretion of the court. The remand states that the court must take legal action on whether or not to cancel the bail. Prosecutors for the CBI told the court during today's hearing that the same matter should be taken into the records. After hearing the arguments, the CBI said it would release its verdict on August 25.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has left the court's decision without comment on the petition filed by Raghuram Krishnaraja seeking revocation of the CM's bail. With this, the decision of the CBI court has now become crucial. Trial courts usually issue judgments based on the opinion of the investigating agencies. But here the matter has now come under the purview of the CBI court as CBI CM Jagan did not state his opinion on whether to cancel the bail or not. With this, the decision of the CBI court at its discretion will now become crucial.
