Oldest Everest climber Sangeeta meets Indian Ambassador to Nepal
Kathmandu [Nepal], May 28 (ANI): Oldest woman to scale Mount Everest Sangeeta Bahl from Jammu and Kashmir met Ambassador of India to Nepal Hardeep Singh Puri on Sunday.
As per Twitter handle 'India in Nepal', the 53-year-old's husband, who had climbed Mt. Everest in 2016, also accompanied her to meet Ambassador Puri.
"Ambassador Puri with Ms. Sangeeta Bahl, India's oldest woman to have scaled Mt Everest at age 53 and her husband Ankur Bahl, who climbed Mt Everest in 2016", the tweet read.
Reportedly, Sangeeta scaled the Everest with help of two sherpas. She has already conquered six out of the seven highest peaks of the world.
Earlier in May, Haryana's climber, Shivangi Pathak became the youngest Indian to achieve this feat.
The Everest stands to be an 8,848-metre high peak. (ANI)
