Iran-Iraq earthquake: Death toll reaches over 300
Tehran [Iran], November 13 (ANI): More than 300 persons have lost their lives and thousands more have been injured in the 7.3-magnitude earthquake that has shaken the border region between Iraq and Iran late Sunday.
According to CNN, at least 4,000 people have been injured.
Most of those who died were from Iran's western Kermanshah province.
Seven people are reported to have died in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq.
At least 14 provinces in Iran were affected due to the earthquake.
Iran has declared three days of mourning.
The epicentre of the earthquake was near the border, 20 miles southwest of the city of Halabjah in Iran. (ANI)
