India gifts ambulances, educational materials to Nepal

Kathmandu [Nepal], Jan 26 (ANI): On the occasion of the 69th Republic Day, the Indian Mission in Nepal on Friday handed over 30 ambulances and six buses to various hospitals and non-profit charity organisations.
The ceremony was held at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, which also witnessed the handing over of book grants to 41 educational institutions across Nepal.
Students of various schools performed at the event and Nepal Army's band also performed during the hosting of the flag by Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri.
Like every year, this Republic Day celebration witnessed the felicitation of seven widows, four next of kins of deceased soldiers and one disabled soldier of Indian Armed forces with dues worth NPR. 4.14 Crore and blankets to each.
On 15th August of 2017, the Indian Mission in Nepal gifted 30 ambulances and six buses to various hospitals, organisations and non-profitable organisations as assistance to Nepali medical and education sectors. (ANI)
