Shakib Al Hasan Entangled In Murder Case, Faces Jail Time | Sports Live
Shakib Al Hasan, the star cricketer for Bangladesh, faces potential removal from all formats by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) due to his involvement in a murder case. This follows recent protests in Bangladesh that led to over 400 deaths. Shakib, along with 147 others, is accused of the murder of a student during a firing incident on August 5th. The student's father has filed an FIR, and a notice has been served to the BCB. BCB President Faruque Ahmed stated that a decision on Shakib's future will be made after the first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh, which Bangladesh won. Despite these allegations, Shakib, 37, is currently playing in the second Test in Rawalpindi.
