Singer Adnan Sami staff called 'Indian dogs' at Kuwait airport
We have heard incidents of ill-treatment of Indian celebrities abroad, over their religion and nationality. Now, singer Adnan Sami on Sunday took to his social media and complained of being mistreated at Kuwaiti airport by the immigration staff.
Sami had gone to Kuwait for a concert, where he faced humiliation as his staff was called “Indian dogs” by the immigration officers and “mistreated” for no reason.
Sami, who was earlier a Pakistani citizen, sought Indian citizenship in 2015. He submitted a request for Indian citizenship when his Pakistani passport expired, and it wasn’t renewed by the Pak government. Soon MHA of India approved his request and he was granted an Indian citizenship.
