Residents having hard time getting public transport
Alarm bells are ringing as the Air Quality Index (AQI) crossed an all time high of 1,000 in some parts of Delhi-NCR causing concern and anxiety among the people. According to some experts, the present level of pollution is equivalent to smoking 33 cigarettes a day. The US Embassy recorded PM-2.5 level at 802 at 1 p.m. on Sunday.The Department informed that private operators will be asked through public notices to offer their buses as was done during the first two Odd-Even programmes in 2016.
