During the eighth Deepotsav celebration in Ayodhya, two remarkable Guinness World Records were achieved on the banks of the Saryu River, marking an extraordinary event in the city’s history. This year’s Deepotsav set records for the most people participating in an aarti ceremony simultaneously and the largest number of oil lamps lit at once. A stunning total of 1,121 devotees gathered in unison to perform the grand Saryu Aarti, creating a powerful visual and spiritual display. In addition, Ayodhya’s ghats were illuminated by an astounding 2,512,585 oil lamps, bathing the entire area in a mesmerizing glow that reflected the spirit of Diwali and Ayodhya’s dedication to honoring its rich cultural heritage. The event highlighted Ayodhya’s symbolic connection to Lord Ram, with the city coming together to celebrate unity and tradition. The Deepotsav not only set world records but also captivated onlookers with a scene of devotion, unity, and light, making it an unforgettable moment in Ayodhya’s festivities.
