Raftaar: Rescue boat capsizes in Maharashtra's Sangli

The districts of Kolhapur and Sangli have been battered by rains for the last few days and grappling with floods 

a rescue boat in which they were sailing capsized at Brahmnal village in Maharashtra's Sangli district, an official said.

Konkan Division Commissioner Deepak Mhaiskar said that the boat was carrying around 30 villagers when the tragedy occurred.

It was not immediately clear whether the ill-fated boat was overloaded and belonged to any of the official rescue agencies or a private party engaged in rescue operations in the flood-hit Sangli.
