War Update: US Hormuz Blockade Falters as Ships Pass Freely, Global Powers React

The US naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, announced by Donald Trump, appears to have faltered on its very first day. Reports indicate that around 20 commercial ships successfully passed through the route within 24 hours, despite US efforts to restrict movement. While the US Navy reportedly turned back six vessels, several others, including a Chinese oil tanker, were allowed to proceed after diplomatic pressure from China. The blockade, aimed at pressuring Iran, is now facing global criticism. European nations are reportedly unhappy and are working on an alternative strategy that excludes the US. Meanwhile, rising tensions have created an opportunity for countries like Russia and China to push for a new global order. Key global leaders, including Xi Jinping, are actively engaging in diplomatic meetings in Beijing, highlighting shifting alliances and increasing geopolitical complexity amid the ongoing West Asia crisis.
