US Representative tables Bill to recognise Tibet's independence from China
US Representative Scott Perry has tabled a Bill in United States Congress to allow the President of the United States to recognise Tibet as an independent country. He has tabled a similar Bill for Hong Kong. Both the areas are under China's control at present. The move comes amid mounting tension between India and China on the Ladakh-Tibet border. Due to Coronavirus pandemic, the US-China relation has also taken a hit.
