IRANIAN REJECTION: CEASEFIRE LABELED A "DECEPTION" AND "TRAP"

The Iranian leadership has met President Trump’s ceasefire extension with fierce skepticism and open threats. Mehdi Mohammadi, advisor to the Iranian Parliament Speaker, dismissed the move as a meaningless deception, labeling it a strategic "trap." Tehran views the extension not as a diplomatic gesture, but as a calculated maneuver by the U.S. to buy time to reorganize its military forces and prepare for a larger offensive. In a sharp rebuttal, Iranian officials stated that "losers cannot dictate terms," directly challenging Trump’s conditions. Simultaneously, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a grave warning: if full-scale war erupts, Iran will annihilate the regional oil industry in the Gulf. This high-stakes rhetoric underscores Iran's refusal to accept the continuation of the Hormuz blockade under the guise of a ceasefire, further dampening hopes for the upcoming Islamabad peace negotiations.
