Tirath Singh Rawat arrives at Raj Bhavan; hand over his resignation to Governor Baby Rani Maurya
Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat has resigned from his post. He reached the Raj Bhavan in Dehradun late in the night and submitted his resignation to the Governor Baby Rani Maurya. Earlier, he offered his resignation to the BJP high command through a letter. In his letter sent to the BJP President, he referred to Section 191A of the Representation of the People Act and said that he cannot be elected again in the next 6 months.
