Price of onion in Patna slashed to Rs 33 per kg
People in Patna are happy as government has decided to sell onion at Rs 33 per kg.
The price of onion is at peak in the country.
The government on Wednesday said the restrictions on stock holding of onions, whose production has been hit by 26 per cent due to rain damage, would remain till further orders even though it was making all-out efforts to get the bulb from other countries at the earliest.
Union Minister Paswan said, "Since rain has impacted production, I can’t give any timeline about fall in onion prices. We are making all possible efforts, from importing to checking hoarding”.
