Mukhtar Ansari Case: How trouble mounted for gangster? Take a look | ABP News
An MP-MLA court in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur sentenced jailed mafia Mukhtar Ansari to ten years in prison on Saturday (April 29) in a kidnapping and murder case involving the death of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai. A 5 lakh fine was also imposed on the gangster-politician. He was virtually brought before the court today. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Afzal Ansari, also the brother of Mukhtar Ansari was also convicted in the same case. The court sentenced Afzal to four years in jail and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on him. His conviction means that he could lose his Lok Sabha membership.
