The SC had ordered maintaining of status quo concerning the demolition of buildings in Jahangirpuri in north Delhi that had witnessed an incident including stone-pelting, arson, and firing, between two communities during a Hanuman Jayanti procession on Saturday.

Bulldozers started razing shops and other structures in the violence-hit area creating havoc-like situation in the national capital.
