Who is Padma Shri awardee & Bhopal Gas tragedy activist Abdul Jabbar?
Activist Abdul Jabbar was the man behind voices of thousands of victims in the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy. Jabbar fought for justice for the victims of the world’ most infamous industrial disaster for almost 35 years. He breathed his last on November 14, 2019, due to ailments he suffered during the 1984 tragedy.
He is among the heroes who will be conferred with the Padma Shri award.
