Sandeshkhali Poll Violence: Violence has once again occurred in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal. There has been a clash between the local people and the police here. Police took action and detained a local person in the violence that took place during voting on Saturday (June 1) under the seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections. People protested against this and then forcefully rescued him from the police. During this, there was a lot of sloganeering and local people clashed with the police. Meanwhile, the police retaliated by taking action against the local people and resorted to lathi charge to control the situation. Local women were seen at the forefront of the confrontation with the police. When the police again reached the village to arrest the detained accused, there was a fierce confrontation between the women and the policemen. Local people protested against the police, after which they had to return from the spot without arresting the accused.
