Waqf Board Act Amendment: 'If Not Today, Then Tomorrow the INDIA Coalition Govt Will Change It' - Maulana Arshad Madani | ABP News
Waqf Amendment Bill 2024: The debate over the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 has intensified nationwide. On Thursday, August 22, the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) convened at the Parliament House Annexe in Delhi to discuss the bill. Maulana Arshad Madani, national president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, stated that if the bill is not amended today, the INDIA coalition government will do so in the future. He expressed concerns that the bill would lead to the encroachment of thousands of mosques and over 50,000 acres of land. Madani questioned where the documentation for such claims would come from, suggesting that the government’s intentions might be to undermine the Waqf properties.
