Uttarakhand Landslide: Mother & Daughter Killed As Debris Collapses Into House In Tehri | ABP News
Uttarakhand’s hilly regions are reeling from severe impacts of persistent rainfall over the past week, resulting in landslides and flooding. After the tragic death of three individuals during the Kedarnath Yatra last week, a landslide in Toli village, Bhilangana block, Tehri district, has claimed the lives of a mother and daughter. The incident occurred late Friday night when debris engulfed their home while they were asleep. Following the disaster, rescue teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), police, and revenue authorities were deployed to assist in the village. Additionally, around 50 pilgrims are stranded near Madmaheshwar Temple due to landslides blocking the trekking route. A junior high school in Tingarh village was damaged, and the pedestrian bridge linking Vishan and Dala villages was washed away.
