Top 100 News: More powers to Delhi Lieutenant Governor from today

Delhi's death toll has crossed 15 thousand mark. The national capital also recorded more than 24 thousand new corona infections in the last 24 hours, with 381 persons succumbing to the virus, a record high.

The Centre has notified the amended Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Act, 2021. As per the amendment, now the government in Delhi means Lieutenant Governor.

The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Act, 2021 was passed in the Lok Sabha on March 22 and on March 24 in the Rajya Sabha amid walkout by opposition parties.
