India to have population of 163 cr by 2050: Report

Underlining the need for population control, RSS chief, Mohan Bhagwat said that India was a growing country but uncontrolled population growth was not healthy for development. His statement has sparked a controversy.

Now a report by World Population Prospectus suggests that India's population will cross a mark of 163 Cr by 2050. In the next eight years India will beat China in terms of population.
