In Delhi's Old Rajendra Nagar, three students died after water flooded the basement of a coaching center, prompting swift action. The accused were arrested, and the Home Ministry formed an investigation committee. Several coaching centers, including Drishti, were sealed. The committee, comprising senior officials, will investigate the incident, determine responsibility, suggest measures, and recommend policy changes, reporting within 30 days. The Delhi Municipal Corporation sealed 20 basements in Old Rajendra Nagar and Mukherjee Nagar, including prominent coaching centers like IAS Gurukul and Chahal Academy. Delhi's Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena announced ₹10 lakh compensation for each victim's family. RJD MP Manoj Jha highlighted the frequent tragedies in the country, urging that the incident not become a political issue between AAP and BJP.
