Shivraj Singh Chouhan: 'Our Strategy Is To Increase Production... Reduce Production Costs' | ABP News

Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan highlighted the Modi government's commitment to doubling farmers' incomes, noting increases over the past decade and some regions where incomes have indeed doubled. He acknowledged challenges in areas affected by natural or other disasters but emphasized the government's numerous measures and the need for continuous efforts. Chouhan stressed that agriculture is the backbone of India's economy and farmers are its soul, making their welfare a priority. Commenting on the recent Lok Sabha election results, Chouhan pointed out that for the first time since 1962, a single prime minister has led the government to a third consecutive term. He noted that while seat numbers can fluctuate, this dynamic is the essence of democracy. Chouhan praised their improved performance in states like Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
