Sambhal Violence: Supreme Court Urges Peace, Watch Full Report | ABP News
In Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district, internet services were restored on Friday after several days of unrest. However, District Magistrate Dr. Rajendra Pensia issued an order late at night implementing Section 163 BNSS in the district. Under this order, gatherings of five or more people are now prohibited, and the restrictions will remain in effect until December 10. According to the DM’s directive, no group of five or more individuals can form or organize a procession in public spaces without prior permission from a magistrate. Additionally, rallies, protests, and demonstrations are banned. Exceptions are made for funerals, disputes, or events organized by the Uttar Pradesh government. The use of loudspeakers or other high-decibel sound equipment is also prohibited without permission. Even with approval, these devices cannot be used between 10 PM and 6 AM. Any activities such as protests, rallies, or demonstrations targeting specific religions or communities are strictly forbidden. The decision aims to maintain law and order in the district following the recent violence. These restrictions underline the administration’s efforts to ensure communal harmony and prevent any further escalation of tensions.
