Rajasthan govt claims, 'temple was a restriction in urban development plan' | ABP News
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan lashed out on Friday at the Congress government for demolishing a 300-year-old Hindu temple in the Alwar district. Three temples in Alwar are said to have been destroyed recently to "clear encroachments." Amit Malviya, a BJP leader, took to Twitter to accuse the Rajasthan government of hurting Hindu feelings by demolishing the old temple under the guise of development. "A 300-year-old Shiva temple in Alwar, Rajasthan, was demolished in the name of development," he tweeted in Hindi.
