Punjab govt wants liquor shops to reopen, CM seeks permit from home ministry

Punjab chief minister Captain Amrinder Singh in a letter has requested the home ministry to give permission for reopening liquor shops in the state. As per Punjab government, the state's revenue collection has been hit hard due to the curfew enforced to contain coronavirus. To deal with this, the government wants to open the state's liquor shops.
