Punjab govt reduces retirement age to 58 from 60

Punjab government has decided to reduce the age of retirement in state government jobs from 60 years to 58 years. The decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting under the leadership of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. The proposal was put forward by Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal to increase employment opportunities for youth.
