Former Samajwadi Party leader Nawab Singh Yadav was arrested on Monday, August 12, in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, for attempting to rape a 15-year-old minor. The case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. Yadav has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.
