Police have made a rule to punish victims: Nirbhaya's mother
Accusing the police of punishing the victims and the ones who raise their voice against injustice, Asha Devi – mother of brutal gang-rape victim Nirbhaya, while speaking to ABP News said the authorities have made a rule to detain the victims and support the accused. She also raised an importing question saying that death warrants are not issued in such cases citing that the accused also have their fundamental rights.
Asha Devi's remark came in the wake of the detention of a Delhi teenager who was taken to the Parliament Street Police Station after she sat on a pavement near Parliament on Saturday morning protesting crimes against women. After some officers heard her grievances, she was released from the police station.
