'PM Giving Airy Assurances,' Mayawati On SC-ST Reservation | ABP News

BSP Chief Mayawati held a press conference in Lucknow on Saturday following the Supreme Court's decision regarding SC-ST reservation. She launched a strong verbal attack on the central government, accusing it of inadequately representing the case in the Supreme Court. Mayawati stated, "The central government did not advocate properly in the Supreme Court. SC-ST communities feel cheated. There is a conspiracy to end reservation by using the pretext of the creamy layer in SC-ST categories. The Prime Minister is offering only empty assurances. Reservation is being rendered ineffective, and the situation might lead to its abolition. Yesterday, a delegation of BJP MPs met the Prime Minister." Her comments reflect concerns over the potential undermining of reservation policies for SC-ST communities.
