Overcrowded jails in Haryana to release prisoners on parole

The Manohar Lal Khattar government in Haryana has taken the decision to contain the spread of deadly Coronavirus by sending the jail inmates on parole. Those with only three months of imprisonment left will be granted pardon. Whereas, those with 7 years of sentence left will be sent on a parole of eight months.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a country-wide lockdown for 21 days
